Presenting live music to neighbourhoods since 1993
Hello, it's Justin Francis here and I hope life is well as we return to some normality post Corona Virus restrictions. With a moment that stole our Summer It feels surreal to be presenting live music, however we're going to do it anyway. I'm exited to announce music tours from a range of diverse music acts, itching to resume at what they do best, and that is perform live music and create good times on their travels.
Many communities have faced difficult challenges in recent times where we look to bring people together for good morale after being isolated and immobilised within the social distancing laws. With live music being the vehicle to do so, I'm sure we've all contemplated the saying of, 'We don't know what we have until it's gone'. Musicians have been sharing with me their thoughts of having a home life from being in one spot for too long where a balance is good for anyone.
This does create itchy feet, and we all look forward to loading the vans to share some beautiful noise again. We also know that people need to shake of some cobwebs too and it's time to get grooving again. With the opportunity for the world to become more creative, the following musicians and myself look forward to visiting your region sometime in the future. Until then stay safe while having a social life where its back to work in order to help make the world a better place into the future.
Keep On Rocking In The Free World. "Neil Young" ones.

Much-loved music artists, Chris Matthews and Scott Bassham, return to the open road in a big way this July, on the “West Coast Wayside” tour presented Corney Music. The musicians will tour Western Australia playing a series of limited attendance house concerts and venue performances.
Chris and Scott will be performing both solo and together at the shows, playing their own wide-ranging and exciting original work. No strangers to sharing a stage together, both musicians look forward to reconnecting to their audiences after so long in musical isolation. As Bassham explains, “I think once we recovered from the total shock of our whole industry going over a cliff, with everything cancelled, industry professionals and full time musicians like Chris and myself really had a lot to try and make sense of”. “Chris’s new album “Little Bit Long Way” had just come out, reaching #4 in the Australian Country charts, and #1 in New Zealand too. I’d just come back from the US and was busy playing gigs and preparing my own couple of album releases, and then suddenly...it all stopped!” As true music fans understand, there is nothing like the shared experience of a live show, and Scott and Chris have really missed that environment “We have been performing shows online for people, which are great fun, but I am so looking forward to being able to have a great live sound to present our music to people in the same room! No more iPad speakers!” “You just can’t recreate the live music experience completely on a computer screen.” Matthews reinforces. |
“To me, what we do is all about connection, and there’s no better way of doing that than playing directly to the people. To able to jump back on the stage with one of my best musical mates, and touring my beloved home state….I couldn’t think of a more satisfying and rewarding way to kick things into gear again!”
It is exciting to see the first green shoots of Australia’s vibrant live music scene beginning to return, and Matthews & Bassham could not be any happier.

Known also for his work in folk/Punk/Surfadelic two-piece band, ill-Starred Captain, Scott plots a very different furrow as a solo performer, mixing up timeless, melodic guitar playing with songs of passion, wit and relevance, to create a vibrant and wild-hearted sound that has thrilled audiences around the world. MARLEY WYNN & THE HOFFMENNAfter the uncertainty of the last few months, Marley Wynn (the alter ego of Adrian Hoffmann) is preparing to tour the North-West over July/August/September with The Hoffmenn – Lochlan and Shaun Hoffmann. He has also announced that he is in the middle of recording a new album (to be released at a later date this year) and is itching to showcase songs from it for the first time along with crowd favourites.
Marley Wynn borrows elements from the country ideal and twists them into his own version of pop rock with sounds reminiscent of the melodic waves of Crowded House and the story telling of Paul Kelly or Bob Dylan. “I’ve always tried to stretch the boundaries of how lyrics conventionally fit together.” Wynn says. “I like to keep the songs mysterious enough for the listener to have their own interpretation of what it means to them.” Marley Wynn and the Hoffmenn can’t wait to dust off the cobwebs of uncertainty and look forward to collaborating with new audiences around WA. Nick Findlay of Triple J has stated in the past that Marley Wynn’s songs “conjure up a quintessential Australian imagery.” Genre: Indie, Pop, Rock Origin: Fremantle, Western Australia in 2013 Inspired by: David Bowie, The Triffids, George Harrison & The Go-Betweens. |
ILL STARRED CAPTAINIll Starred Captain – The band have proved themselves to be one of Australia’s hardest working live acts over the 19 years since they started in Port Lincoln S.A. Singer/Guitarist Scott Bassham and Drummer Justin Francis have never stopped touring and recording since their inception in 2001, and their road has taken them all over Australia and beyond into the rest of the World. The band has maintained a strong ethic of joyful independence, and are about to release their fifth album, “Get Lucid on The Transcendental”. Their music is a vibrant blend of energy and beauty, with strong elements of roots, blues, folk and pure raw Rock n Roll. Ill Starred Captain look forward to a night of wild-hearted music and good times! SHAUN CORLSONIn more recent years Corlson has been playing guitar in The Polite Society and in various band line-ups with the esteemed likes of Richard Lane (The Stems), Jill Birt and Martyn P. Casey (The Triffids) and Steve Kilbey (The Church). These are names that echo the kind of unique sense of Australia he leans to in his own songs. The year ahead brings the afore mentioned Salvage Diver LP and hopefully a children’s album he’s recorded with Richard Lane. More immediately Corlson plans to put together a physical compilation release of his favourite tunes from the albums available on Bandcamp.
