First up, Hurb Jephasun’s Polite Society kicked off the entertainment with some beautifully rootsy, country-flecked rock n’ roll that had much in common with 1970’s Rolling Stones, The Band, Neil Young and their ilk, or even the rootsy modern blues of Seasick Steve. A six-piece group, The Polite Society deliver a great set of plaintiff, heart on sleeve rock, Beard-Mountain frontman and acoustic guitarist Jephasun proving that appearances can be deceptive, with some lovely, melodic vocals on tracks such as Cold Dark Night, Darkness & The Glory, Home and Another Beer Another Cigarette.
Band members include Phil Bradley, Jeremy Threlfall, Nigel Bird, Janine Wells, Hurb Jephasun & Shaun Corlson. Ex members Tony Pola & Pete Lisiewich

Scott Bassham - vocal/guitar & Justin Francis – Drums have toured abroad in Ireland and the U.K. including all over the Australia since 2000. Now celebrating twenty years for their Bottle Green Sky E.P., the band will be releasing a new album “Get Lucid” after two years off with long service leave. As ill-Starred Captain continues their trek through Folk, Punk and Psychedelia their back catalogue is now available on their Seawitch Music label via the following sites.

Dave Lang Aka “Funkosis' is a music producer and DJ for over 20 years both in Australia and internationally, with a music collection of over 50,000 tracks. Funkosis has played on the same bill at club and festival events with international DJs, including Mark Knights (Tool room Knights), Todd Terry (Strictly Rhythm) and Andrew Bayer (Ajunabeats).
Funkosis has an uncanny ability to read the crowd and play what is needed for the particular venue, audience and time of day, customising each set to create a dynamic vibe whenever he gets behind the decks. Funkosis can DJ any occasion, from corporate events requiring his MC skills, to weddings, birthdays, house parties or club nights. Funkosis drives the crowd always keeping them entertained.
